tomorrow i leave for florida and won't be back for awhile. i'm flying one way and driving back - not sure whether i'll have internet connections or not - so i may actually have an excuse for not blogging. figured that i need to get at least a quick blog before i go. i'm planning to do two 4 miles runs a day while there - it's real hot though - we'll see.
i'm going to africa this summer to help a relatively new orphanage get it's international volunteer program off the ground. the whole international volunteer system is so amazing, i'll also be shooting for a documentary film about it and the people who volunteer.
I weighed 213.4 today.

DOWN200 — Here's the concept:
I'm a 370 pound filmmaker looking for a topic for my first full-length film. Given my desperate need to lose weight and my passion for film and story telling, I decided to attempt to lose 200lbs in less than a year and to document it.
I hope that this will be an intensely honest and frank project and that it might inspire both those who need to lose weight and also those who are interested in getting into filmmaking.

Hey, Dan! i'd love to hear more about your trip to Africa to help at the orphanage. i have a strong interest in all things related to the welfare of orphans, adoption, etc. (I adopted my daughter 19 months ago!) Would love to follow along on that project in particular...so if you need a set of eyes on your documentary, let me know!! Best of luck, Shawna
