back on it 238.5

last week (tuesday) I was at 245.5, finally got back on the diet - droped to 238.5 today. i'm about 7 weeks away from approching the docs here where i work about getting the skin removal surgery... it's suppose to be quite painful, looking forward to it. great to be back in the 230's. by next tuesday i need to lose another 5.

i have had a "few" set-backs - came off the diet, getting back on today. despite that the weight has been going down, hope to be back into the 230's by sometime next week. :)

made goal again - that's a good thing huh? i've lost 40 lbs. in the last 7 weeks, i need to get to 253 by next tuesday... i'll be halfway there.

I find myself without my glasses and no access to them so I really can't work (I was going to continue working on the animations for my film). Might as well do a down200 post instead, I'm way behind on posting. It's going well, I had about 5-6 bad days (where I cheated the diet) and they have essentially put me off target by one week. But at least i know why I'm off. Yesterday I weighed 263 (so I made me goal). The next stop is 258.2. It's working just as expected. 5 pounds a week despite the entire absence of exercise. I was down 35 pounds as of yesterday. it's been 6 weeks on the diet.

I'm on it now... this is way better then last summer, I did lose almost 30 but it was tenuous, never really on it - constantly cheating, not this time. I'm on it with very little temptation and very little cheating. the cheating has been a bag of baby carrots or a little extra soup, not the fall apart sort of cheating as last summer. It's now just a waiting game - a matter of time... and not a lot of time either, if the 5 a week sticks then just 2 months and 2 weeks, and I'll be back to my pre-Africa weight. :)

well i'm pretty happy the first 4 weeks are gone and i lost 26.2 pounds. this is from my poor scale, since i'm at the 4 week mark i think i will head to the DALC today and get a real weigh-in on a decent scale. i'm actually 3.8 pounds short of the "real goal". which was 30 for the first 4 weeks. it's no surprise i've come up short of that, i had 4-5 days of cheating/messing up. i'm past that now. i think the DALC scale may reveal i'm even closer to that goal. i'm happy to be a month into this and solidly on it (more then the loss itself). this diet isn't about suffering (there's a little of that at the start) it's more about time. i think i will catch up on the 3.8 pounds.

on an unrelated note: it snowed yesterday, i got up early to shovel and deal with ice on the jeep and roads. anyway in my new place on main street in kasson we are required to shovel within 24 hours of a snowfall's completion. i shoveled in the morning at 4:00am but it was still snowing. didn't stop until about 10 am. when i got home around 5:30 it had been shoveled again, but poorly - appeared to be done by a brush or something. i redid it again - because who ever did it just made it worse.

the city will charge you if you don't shovel within 24 hours (i shoveled twice within a 10 hour period). this is being posted should who ever shoveled (a third time) still within that time frame, somehow claims i (and my neighbor) had failed to shovel. that is not the case. myself and my next door neighbor have been very diligent and have been doing one-another's sidewalks. could be that the neighbor to the right did both of ours as a courtesy. that's OK - just don't want the city claiming we failed to fulfill their requirements. both sidewalks were done 3x within the required time frame :)

I made it, weighed in at the DALC and was at 278.2. So 2 weeks and I'm down 20 lbs right to the tenth of a pound. So by next Tuesday the goal is to lose another 5 pound and going forward - every week.
